"Go, I am Sending You!"

Here are some quick highlights from Day #3 of WLS. Thank you for your continued interest in following the events of this life-changing conference for hundreds of young Native American believers.

This morning was highlighted by a message by Brad Hutchcraft. Brad is the son of Ron Hutchcraft, and serves as RHM's Director of Native Ministries. Brad's challenge, "Soul Wars," focused on motivating these warriors to become rescuers of their people. Brad said, "God is looking for rescuers who focus on who He is, not on who you are!" By gaining a clearer understanding of what God asks of each of us, these warriors are now better equipped to boldly represent Jesus to their families, friends, and Native communities.

"The Winning Moment"

Today was the first full day of Warrior Leadership Summit. The warriors are enjoying all that WLS has to offer: great food, tremendous relationships, recreation, and most significantly, growing as a disciple of Jesus Christ.

The morning session featured Bobby Dean, Tonawanda / Seneca. Bobby is a highly respected Native Christian pastor and leader from New York state, serves on the Board of Directors for Ron Hutchcraft Ministries, and has now spoken at three WLS conferences. His message, "Turning Their Guns Against Them," challenged the warriors to recycle their pain and failures. As Ron says, "Jesus wants to take your 'crud-entials' -- all the junk you've been through in life -- and make you a giant for God!"

"Such a Sense of Excitement!"

Warrior Leadership Summit is under way for yet another year! Native young people from across the continent have gathered for the next five days to be challenged, encouraged, and empowered to make a difference for their people!

For many, the journey was long and difficult. There are those who have sacrificed greatly to come to WLS. But the anticipation is high, and they know it will be worth the investment. As the buses and vans pulled in on Day #1, there were many hugs and lots of emotion.
