On Eagles' Wings Prayer Update - Reservation #6 |

We've seen some of the poorest rez kids - Reservation #2, "Elk Valley," was in the second poorest county in America. Only a few years ago, the Burnt Hills Reservation was a poor reservation on a dirt road. Not anymore. Their casino changed all that. Now tribal members receive regular checks and the reservation is blessed with impressive programs and facilities.
If only money could heal broken lives. A tribal leader gave this sad report on their next generation...
"We've lost a lot of our young people."
But after what God did in just two days among their young people, he said in a public thank you to the On Eagles' Wings' team:

It's a killing ground. Where Life has triumphed.
Kids don't go out at night in Stoneridge. The streets belong to the gangs, the drug dealers and others who deal death to their people. The park with the basketball court is more like a battleground some nights. But not the past three nights. On Eagles' Wings was there, dealing life to their people.
Stoneridge is the most notorious community on the poor and often violent Lanapi Reservation. So notorious that it's been the subject of national network news stories. The tribe's Child Protective Services agency reports that 80% of the referrals from their reservation come from Stoneridge. The Lanapi Reservation is reeling with a suicide rate even higher than the rest of Native America. Nationally, Native young people have a suicide rate four times that of the rest of America's young people. For the Lanapi, it's seven times higher!

As I sat watching almost one hundred cars pull into that small parking lot, I kept being reminded of the story of Gideon. It was our first time dividing our team between two locations in order to reach as many people on as many reservations as possible, and the challenge was clear. People came by car, by foot, and even many on horseback to the courts on the Eagle Crest Reservation. By the time our event was going full-speed, our team of 25 was facing several hundred people.
These may not quite be Gideon-type odds, but it was impressive to see this small band of warriors tackle the challenge ahead of them.

The On Eagles' Wings team is living so many answers to your prayers!
This was a crossroads moment for this young team of warriors – what we called our Divine doubleheader! We had arrived in an area where there are two reservations, an hour apart. It was not until the last days of Warrior Leadership Summit, when God had doubled the number of warriors we had, that we knew we could divide this team and reach two reservations at the same time.
We've needed every warrior for the first two reservations – and now each team would have half as many. For, as God would have it, the largest crowds yet of this Summer of Hope! This would test these young men and women to their limits.
