Native Ministry Roundtable Meeting Print E-mail

An important part of our time in your community is to meet with local evangelical Christian leaders in a Native Ministry Roundtable meeting. This is where our leaders have opportunity to meet and interact with the local pastors, missionaries, and lay leaders who represent the ongoing evangelical ministry in your area.

Our roundtable meeting is normally held on the morning of the second day of our visit. This is when we introduce our third part of this packet, our follow-up material.

We will discuss this in more detail later, but for the purposes of planning for the On Eagles’ Wings visit, it is important to ask that a suitable facility be confirmed for this key meeting. The steps to organizing are as follows:

  1. Confirm a location for the roundtable meeting. In identifying this location, be sure that this location is perceived as “neutral” to everyone who will be attending. Thus, you may want to have this at a school, or tribal community facility. It could be at a church, but only if that church is agreed by all as a location that would be friendly to all Native and non-Native believers in your community.
  2. Invite and confirm all interested ministry leaders who are committed to helping in the following up of the On Eagles’ Wings harvest (many will already be involved in the planning stages).
  3. Confirm hospitality items such as coffee, water, snacks, etc., for attendees.

The meeting would last several hours, and would be led by our On Eagles’ Wings staff and include several of our team members as well.
