Partnering in Resourcing the Visit Print E-mail

One of the biggest questions asked us is, “How is On Eagles’ Wings paid for?” In our initial site visit presentation, we shared that On Eagles’ Wings is prepared to make a significant investment financially to your community. When all of the Summer of Hope costs are considered, based on previous years statistics, it costs us approximately $20,000.00 per reservation to conduct our On Eagles’ Wings outreaches.

Those costs are paid for by friends of our ministry who desire to invest in making a difference in Native North America. We encourage partnering locally, allowing Native and non-Native churches, tribes, and concerned people to participate with funding that can help support an On Eagles’ Wings visit. Perhaps God would have your community be part of the answer to the tremendous financial need to make this possible.

We want you to know that we do everything we can to raise adequate resources to fund our Summer of Hope tours, but we also want to provide the local community opportunity to financially partner with us as well. Our approach is very low key, and regardless of what can be done locally, we will never let financial issues stand in the way of an On Eagles’ Wings ministry opportunity. We will come regardless of local finances.

There are a number of ways local financial help can be looked into. Listed below are some ideas for you to consider.

  • Local Native and non-Native Churches

A great source of help are the local Native and non-Native churches that we hope will benefit most from an On Eagles’ Wings ministry visit. Prior to the arrival of the team, local churches could apply biblical stewardship principles by taking special love offerings. When combined together, these gifts will go a long way to meet the need!

  • Local Native and non-Native Christians

Some of the Christians in your community may want to make a special investment personally to the ministry of On Eagles’ Wings.

  • Local Christian Businessmen and Corporations

Businesses and corporations are an excellent source of giving to a special outreach event like On Eagles’ Wings provides. A simple presentation using our DVD material, and a funding proposal in the Preparing for an OEW Visit downloadable resources may spark interest and a positive response.

  • Local Tribal Governments

All tribal leaders share a common concern for the devastation of the youth of their communities and are sometimes willing to invest in an On Eagles’ Wings visit, especially in light of the fact that we are an all-Native team. A sample proposal is included in the Preparing for an OEW visit downloadable resources that can be customized for your use in approaching your tribal leaders.

  • Local Foundations

There may be some corporate, family, or personal foundations within your area that are open to funding youth-oriented or minority targeted programs and projects in your region. If you are aware of any local foundations such as these, please let us know so we can map out the most effective strategy for submitting a grant application.
